📚 Jussformidlingen
Jussformidlingen is run by advanced law students at the Faculty of Law at the University of Bergen and offers free legal aid and advice to private individuals. Jussformidlingen also provides free lectures within various areas of law.
⚖️ Discrimination Assistance and Mediation Board (DiMe)
DiMe is a low‑threshold legal aid and mediation service that offers free legal assistance to people living in Oslo and Bergen. DiMe provides support and guidance in cases concerning discrimination, hateful expressions, hate crime or racism.
📞 Balansekunst’s Advisory Helpline
The advisory helpline is a free, low‑threshold service for anyone who has experienced, witnessed or has questions about discrimination, sexual harassment or abuse of power in the cultural sector. If you are unsure about what you have experienced or how to proceed with a case, you can receive guidance here. The helpline is staffed by lawyers, and you may choose to remain completely anonymous.
🧑🎓 Studentombudet
The role of the student ombud is to safeguard students’ legal rights at higher education institutions. The ombud provides advice, guidance and assistance in matters related to students’ rights and study situations, such as complaints, cheating cases, fitness assessments, expulsion or harassment. The student ombud can help assess cases, explain regulations and ensure that students’ legal protection is upheld.
