About us

Sammen Associations consists of five advisors who are here for you—whether you are already engaged, or want to get involved.

We know that running an association is rewarding, but also time-consuming and sometimes frustrating, and we aim to make that work a little easier. Whether you need help starting a new organisation, managing a conflict, planning an event, or developing yourself as a leader, we offer courses, guidance, and sparring tailored to you and your association.

Henrik Tjore, Advisor Bergen

I have an educational background in film production and early childhood education, and I have previously worked as a communications advisor. During my studies, I was actively involved in both the volunteer sector and student democracy, holding several leadership roles throughout this period.

My expertise is largely related to recruitment, change management, project work, conflict resolution, and cross-functional collaboration. I enjoy seeing others succeed and aim to equip Student Associations with the tools they need to thrive!

Jakop Kjellstad, Advisor Bergen

I hold a degree in comparative politics and have also studied sustainable leadership and community development. In addition, I have extensive experience from student volunteering in Bergen. During my studies, I was active in Student Associations and student democracy at the University of Bergen, including several roles within Studentersamfunnet and Kulturstyret in Bergen.

At Sammen Associations, I work on projects that promote student engagement, provide guidance to Student Associations, and deliver courses and events. My expertise is particularly related to organizational development, project management, and facilitating sustainable and inclusive Student Associations. I enjoy supporting students and student leaders and aim to make it easier to manage and run a Student Association.

Maria S. Økland, Advisor Bergen

I have a masters degree in a Norwegian literature, and a bachelors degree in Sociology, both of which I studied here in Bergen as a part of Lektorprogrammet.

I have extensive experience in student volunteering and student democracy at the University of Bergen, where I have been involved in a wide range of activities, from running a student bar and organizing the Welcome Week to serving as a student representative at both faculty and university levels.

At Sammen Associations, I work closely with preventive initiatives, focusing on inclusion, community building, and creating safe and welcoming spaces for students across Western Norway. I am responsible for the Welcome Associations project, where I work particularly closely with associations that place a strong emphasis on supporting and integrating new volunteers.

For me, it is especially important that students who wish to engage in volunteer activities have the opportunity to do so, and that student associations receive the support they need to thrive.

Michelle Jensen, Advisor Stord and Haugesund

I have a background in media and communication. At Sammen Studentliv, I work with events, student associations, and guidance. I am passionate about strengthening the student environment, creating great meeting spaces, and being a supportive sparring partner for Student Associations.

My expertise is particularly within marketing, and planning and executing events.

Julia Angelina Nedrebø Maureria, Student co-worker Førde

I am a nursing student currently in my third year of the nursing degree programme.

I have been actively involved in student volunteering for the past two years and serve on the board of a student organization.

Within the Sammen associations, my role is to act as a liaison between the student organizations in Førde and the staff in Bergen. In addition, I am responsible for coordinating the renovation of the student bar in Førde.
