About the event

Bring your own garment! Here you’ll have the chance to print on fabric using potato printing or linoleum, depending on how intricate a pattern you want to create! The event is taking place on the lower ground floor of the main library.

We’ll provide equipment for two different types of textile printing: potato printing and linoleum stencilling. Linoleum can produce a print with more detail, whilst potato printing fits for simpler shapes. It’s a good idea to arrive early so your garment has an hour to dry. We’ll give a short demonstration of what to do, and help will be available throughout.

The workshop is being held at the same time as the library’s own ‘Fixing Thursday’ – where you can learn how to fix your clothes with a sewing machine, how to use a 3D printer, a laser cutter or other tools available in their creative workshop. So there’s plenty to explore whilst you wait! :)

Find out more about the ‘Fixing Thursday’ here: https://www.facebook.com/events/1493797652428532/1493797685761862/?active_tab=about

There’ll be snacks and cozy vibes! :)
