About the event

The Introduction Day to Student Life is a voluntary offer for you who are a brand new student at UiB! On 7 August we open the campus before the official welcome week starts.

On Introduction Day you will have the opportunity to join a campus tour, or perhaps you would like to hear what current students wish they had known before they started studying? During the Introduction Day to Student Life you can ask questions and learn more about what it means to be a student. Introduction Day is also a good opportunity to get to know the university area a little before the welcome week officially starts with the welcome ceremony on Monday 10 August.

Introduction Day is on Friday 7 August from 10:00–15:00, at the Student Centre, Parkveien 1, 3rd floor. The talks will be held in the auditorium Egget, and breaks and mingling will take place in the canteen area. From 11:05 to 12:20 we will be walking between campuses in the city centre of Bergen.

Participation is completely optional, and you can come and go as it suits you. You are welcome to bring a friend or a family member. We also serve free coffee/tea and snacks during the breaks, and it is possible to buy lunch in the canteen at the Student Centre.

To help us know how many people will attend, we would like you to register, but you are still very welcome to show up even if you have not registered.
