About the event

The Welcome Week should be a good and safe start to your time as a student. That is why you will meet welcome patrol volunteers in the city centre in the evenings throughout the week. We walk around in orange vests and hand out food and drinks from our stand at Torgallmenningen🧡

Would you like to join?
We bring together employees, politicians, students and other residents who want to make Welcome Week as safe and pleasant as possible for the city’s new students. Let us know you are coming by registering in the form.

What does a welcome patrol volunteer do?
As a welcome patrol volunteer, you walk around the city in groups of about four people, observe, and make sure that the students are doing well. The volunteers wear reflective vests in the city centre from about 22:00 to 01:00 during Welcome Week. As a volunteer, you are also responsible for handing out food and water to the students, and accompanying those who wish to our stand in the city centre. In addition, the welcome patrol volunteers are served food and drinks, such as pizza, water and coffee, on the evening they are on patrol.

We hope to see you! 🦺
