Terpsichore Dansekompani
Terpsichore is a student-run dance company for students with a passion for dance in Bergen. Since 2010, we have provided a creative and social community for students who want to develop as dancers, create original performances, and share their love of dance with others. We aim to foster an inclusive environment where members can challenge themselves artistically, build lasting friendships, and become part of an engaged student community.
The company consists of around 20 students from various universities and colleges in Bergen and is entirely run by its members. From choreography to day-to-day operations, everything is managed internally, giving members the opportunity to develop both artistic and organizational skills.

Our activities
Terpsichore rehearses twice a week, working on choreography and performance in styles including jazz, lyrical jazz, contemporary, and hip-hop. Throughout the year, the company performs at a variety of events in Bergen, including the Rafto Prize ceremony, the opening of Bergen Pride, and Kulturnatt (Bergen Culture Night).Each year, the company produces its own stage performance at USF Verftet, where members create and perform original choreography based on a shared theme. In addition, we organize an annual flea market and hold auditions each August or September to recruit new members.
Social activities are an important part of the company. Throughout the year, we organize a cabin trip, parties and other social events that help strengthen the sense of community both on and off the dance floor.
