Our activities
Studvest is Norway's second largest student newspaper. The newspaper is published by Velferdstinget Vest, which has no editorial responsibility. Studvest is a politically neutral newspaper.From 2025, Studvest transitioned to becoming a magazine that is published in a physical edition approximately once a month. The physical editions will continue to be a central part of Studvest's identity and operations.
Studvest receives support from Studentsamskipnaden på Vestlandet (Sammen), and all students who pay the semester fee thereby contribute financially to supporting Studvest.
The editorial offices are located on the third floor of the Studentsenteret. Studvest has three editors employed full-time, one part-time, and a staff of over 50 volunteer journalists, photographers, illustrators, and layout workers. Studvest covers all students affiliated with Sammen, and all students are welcome to apply to work in the editorial team.
