Our activities
The Student Parliament of Western Norway (STVL) works to safeguard the interests of students at Western Norway University of Applied Sciences (HVL). This is done through representation in the university college's governing bodies, where STVL ensures that the student voice is heard in matters concerning study quality, the learning environment, and student welfare.STVL conducts active advocacy towards HVL's management and board, as well as relevant external parties such as the government, county authorities, and municipalities. The organisation arranges student political meetings and gatherings, and works on issues related to admissions, study programmes, examinations, and other matters affecting students' everyday lives.
In addition to the political work, STVL contributes to strengthening student democracy at HVL by engaging and mobilising students across the university college's campuses in Bergen, Sogndal, Førde, Stord and Haugesund.
