Rethinking Economics Bergen
Rethinking Economics Norway is a membership organisation for economists, students, and others with an interest in economics. We work to promote pluralism in economic thinking and to democratise public debate on economic issues. We believe that reforming economics education, with a focus on critical thinking and real-world challenges, is essential to educating economists for the 21st century.
Rethinking Economics Norway is a politically independent organisation. As a network of professionals, students, and others interested in economics, we work to make different economic perspectives and theories more accessible to the general public. We collaborate with organisations and stakeholders from politics and business to encourage discussion and generate ideas about the major economic challenges of our time.

Our activities
Rethinking Economics Bergen is a local chapter of Rethinking Economics Norway, working to promote greater diversity in economic thinking and broaden public debate on economic issues. We aim to challenge established perspectives on economics and help more people discover different economic theories and ways of understanding society. We organise reading groups, discussions, and social gatherings where we explore different economic perspectives and discuss current economic and societal challenges. Our goal is to create a space for critical thinking, knowledge sharing, and engagement.
No prior knowledge of economics is required to participate, and everyone is welcome!
