Force Marsjør Law-band & the Footnotes

We have a good time with cool music, and are spreading joy through music for tense law students and anyone else that wants to listen to, or join, us. As we often say: "det er god stemning, det er god stemning! (=There are good vibes, there are good vibes!)

Our activities

We are the student orchestra at the Faculty of Law at University of Bergen (NON-LAW STUDENTS AND EXCHANGE STUDENTS ARE ALSO VERY WELCOME), and we’re a social bunch who play music together every Thursday at 18:00-20:00 o’clock at Auditorium 4 at the Faculty of Law (Magnus Lagabøtes plass 1). We make a group decision on what we’re playing for each rehearsal, and we do play quite a lot of pop music. THERE ARE NO REQUIREMENTS THAT YOU NEED TO KNOW HOW TO PLAY AN INSTRUMENT BEFORE JOINING, we’re happy to teach you how to play! :) For your own sake, though, it’s an advantage if you’re motivated to practice a bit on your own as well.

After rehearsal, we usually hang out for as long as we feel like in our club room in Portnerboligen (the small building right outside the main faculty building). There we can unwind after a long (almost finished!) week and enjoy board games, sing-alongs, and other fun stuff ;)

We also have plenty of festivities through the year: Easter party, Oktoberfest, Halloween, end-of-semester dinner and trips to the student orchestra festival SMASH, as well as other parties with the other student orchestras in Bergen.
