BTS Prosesjonskomitéen

The Procession Committee is at the heart of BTS's history and represents a proud tradition that stretches all the way back to the organization's beginnings. It all started with students from Bergen Technical School who wanted to make their mark on the 17th of May celebrations, and since then the committee has created life and stir in the main procession (which is a fancy way of saying 17th of May parade) year after year.

Our activities

As a member of the procession committee, you get to help create magic in the streets of Bergen on National Day. The committee is looking for people who want to help design and build this year's rafts - a project that brings students together in the weeks before the big day. Here you will have the opportunity to be part of the entire process, from the first ideas take shape until the raft rolls through the city streets to cheers from the audience. The procession committee has a special position in the city's May 17 celebrations, with usually a permanent seat in Bergen's May 17 committee. Through close collaboration with other organizations at the college and practical planning of everything from materials to construction sites, the committee creates new, innovative contributions to the National Day celebrations every year.
